Mikey spent almost twenty years marketing other people's projects. Now he is 43, in a studio that is one room, one desk, and a notebook full of stories he has to turn into something people will actually pay for.
No publisher. No staff. Two dogs who decide when the workday ends, and a fiancée who tells him the truth no matter what. But what does it really take to make a successful game?
Characters
Mikey
Director. Also programmer, writer, producer, and the guy who fixes the printer. Doing every job badly until one of them gets good. Wants to make something a stranger loves enough to argue about with another stranger. Told everyone the deadline out loud. Brave, possibly a mistake.
The Dogs
Studio dogs. The only staff with a fixed schedule. They end meetings, force walks, and are the sole reason the workday has an ending at all. Undefeated.
The Fiancée
The one who tells the truth. Says the true thing after a bad week, even when it is the thing he does not want to hear. She has a stake in how this goes, and the manga does not pretend otherwise.
